Sheila + Brian, The Wedding

Photography by Evoke Photography

I always find it interesting and challenging when creating an ambience for a wedding at a venue that isn't a traditional ballroom. Sheila and Brian had their wedding at her uncle's house out in The Woodlands. I should clarify that the setting for the wedding reception was actually an expansive "garage", perfect to accommodate their 200+ guests.

Many thanks to Heather of Simply Jubilee Events for the referral and another big thanks to Evoke Photography for the beautiful pictures. Enjoy!

The bridesmaids' bouquets, a mixture of Calla Lilies, Roses and Cockscomb.

Brian's boutonniere: Orchids and Ranunculus.

How cute are they???

Jessica + Scot, The Wedding, Part I

Photography: A Day To Remember & Jessica M.

Jessica and Scot have got to be one of the cutest and sweetest couples I've had the pleasure to work with. I've been blessed with having wonderful people as my clients, who not only make my job enjoyable, but I end up with just a wonderful friendship afterwards. Jessica and Scot, CONGRATULATIONS again!

I've got some non-professional pictures I took during the night, as well as some provided by Jessica while I anxiously await the professional pictures! As soon as I get those, I will certainly post them, so enjoy these for now!

Jessica wanted her bouquet to be an "in your face yellow", so we aimed to please. :) Her bouquet consisted of yellow Orchids, Calla Lilies, Hydrangeas and Tulips.

The bridesmaids' bouquets...yellow Mini Calla Lilies.

To go with the yellow, black and white theme, Jessica and Scot's wedding cake was a Vanilla Bean and Milk Chocolate marble cake.

The ceremony site, just before the guests arrived. What a fun place!

The reception venue, the centerpieces were white lanterns that Jessica found. She wanted a clean and rustic feel to match the venue.

The ceiling decor consisted of yellow and white round Chinese lanterns and white ceiling draping.

The wedding cake
was designed in black scrollwork and accented with a variation of yellow gum paste flowers, including roses, orchids, calla lilies and freesias.

Jessica, just before the wedding. She made for a beautiful bride, don't you think? :)

The first kiss... so romantic!

The happy couple.

Time for some cake!

Mmmmm...cake!

The best man giving a touching speech.

A close up of the lantern centerpieces.

The lovely Mr. and Mrs. B. Congratulations!
